Evidence & Trials: FemEXX in Cows and Buffaloes
FemEXX is not a theoretical concept. Its performance has been evaluated through field trials, university research, and international collaborations across cows and buffaloes. These studies consistently show a higher proportion of female calves in FemEXX-treated groups compared to typical expectations and control groups.
Trial conducted by KMF, Karnataka Milk Federation, 2022
- Conducted with Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF)
- Species: Dairy cows (HF & Jersey crossbred)
- Outcome:
- Female calves born: 78%
- Male calves born: 22%
This trial shows substantially higher female calf rates than the ~50:50 ratio seen under conventional conditions.
| Particulars | Control Group | Trial Group (FemEXX) |
|---|---|---|
| Total Confirmed Pregnancy | 219 | 225 |
| No. of Animal Calves | 217 | 218 |
| No. of Female Calves Born | 108 | 169 |
| No. of Male Calves Born | 109 | 49 |
Trial conducted @ LPM Dept, Bidar, Karnataka veterinary Animal & Fishery Sciences University ( KVAFSU), 2024
- Conducted with Karnataka Veterinary, Animal & Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), Bidar
- Species: Dairy cows (HF & Jersey)
- Total animals: 170
- Outcomes:
- Female calves born: 120 (71%)
- Male calves born: 50 (29%)
This research setting provides strong academic validation of FemEXX as a female sex ratio enhancer in dairy cows.

Trial Conducted @ AFU Nepal in collboration with ILRI, International Livestock Research Institute, 2025
- Conducted with Agriculture & Forestry University (AFU) in collaboration with International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)
- Species: Dairy buffaloes
- Outcome:
- Female calves born: 79%
- Male calves born: 21%
These results confirm that FemEXX’s concept also applies to buffaloes, extending its relevance to buffalo-dominant dairy regions.
| Parameter | Control Group (Placebo) | Treatment Group (FeMEXX) |
|---|---|---|
| Total Dairy Cows Inseminated (HF & Jersey) | 335 | 358 |

Summary of FemEXX Trial Results
All last 3-5 years trial summary proved female sex ratio way higher than control group. FemEXX results are very much comaprable vis a vis to Sexed semen technology with distinct advantage of having trial animals between 1st lactation to 5th Lactation
